Coast Mole (Scapanus orarius)

 

This order is identified by:

Eyes: very small

Body Size: small

Ears: not visible externally.

*Family: Soricidae (Shrews)

Vagrant Shrew a.k.a Wandering Shrew (Sorex vagrans)

This family is identified by:

Skull: long and narrow, usually with a flat profile, zygomatic arches absent

(three upper and 1 lower incisors on each side of the jaw, one canine, three premolars and 3 molars).
Feet: plantigrade (place the full length of their foot on the ground), five digits on each foot.
